I ride in Chicago too and could give a flying f*ck about shifting at this point. Yeah, I get some folks like to feel like they are a motoGP wannabe, but I am looking just making my ride less burdensome in heavy traffic.

But an alfa, doesn’t need to run... they are just beautiful... any of those Alfaholic remake are glorious too.

This old joke is not funny. Women aren’t property and they don’t loose value because of milage. You might know this if you had ever had a relationship with a woman.

They will still find a way top make you use a hex key.

Other factors that could be at play here are the fact that a lot of kids don’t want to carry on farming (which makes sense based on the risks) and to a lesser extent the fact that farm land is being turned into residential. I’d be interested to know where those 1 million acres went.

I see your absolute assertion and raise you an AC Cobra Mk. III.

Ask yourself, when was the last time your car wouldn’t start because it was cold?

“That 40 year old Bronco?”

True that, 3 winters back I drove an old Supercharged Toyota Crown over a mountain pass in the dead of a Hokkaido winter. No ABS, old timey Auto box, Supercharged 3.0l inline six, (fridge in-between the back seats, nice car)

Not for a long time. It’s the beginning of the end for needing to drive your own car. There will always be hobbyists or those scared of the technology who want to drive their own cars. They will just start to dwindle after a few generations grow up never having to.

I live in Ottawa, Ontario and I’ve only ever had FWD vehicles. Winter tires and not driving like an idiot are the biggest thing that I use when the snow and ice come out. I remember reading that AWD helps you get going, but winter tires help you stop. Unfortunately a lot of people think AWD on all-seasons is fine when

Here in Norway, SUVs and lifted wagons are becoming more and more popular, transforming a wagon-and-estate-country. Ground clearance has become an issue since modern wagons are build lower and lower - 2 out of 3 Norwegian families own a cabin, and they need to get there somehow. So in order to be able to drive on

A knob doesn’t become obsolete. That’s future-proof.

And the 10% of their customers who don’t have it in their pocket don’t want it either. Probably more so.
