I work downtown (near Cesar Chavez and Brazos), and the traffic is killing me. Last year it took me half an hour to go two blocks on the way home during the week. I'm oh-so-excited about the next 10 days.

Thanks for the encouragement! I seem to be in a plateau right now, and it's super frustrating. I'm determined not to let it make me give up, though, so hopefully I figure out a way around it soon.

Neat — I'm actually using MFP as well! My weight gain started after a nasty knee surgery, so I'm right there with you on the athletic to sedentary transition. I'm debating Crossfit ... we'll see.

Question: Any advice to someone trying to do the same thing? I'm trying to lose about 60 pounds and am around a quarter of the way there, so stories like yours always make me happy.

Thank you! I have a bit of a history with disordered eating, and at one point a few years ago weighed much less but would regularly go 4-6 days without food. Fast forward a few years, and I'd traded that problem in for eating too much and not working out enough (thanks, in part, to a 16-hr./day work schedule). Around
