"… people either love Samberg or hate him …"

I've listened to every Whooch and Tooch and "shuts him down" seems like the wrong way to put it to me. If anything her questioning of Howard only brings out better things from him, because it only makes him expand on his thoughts. And he isn't even shutdownable anyway.

I get the vast majority of what How says too but it's not difficult to imagine the vast majority of people wouldn't. And we wouldn't know him anywhere near as well as we do if it wasn't for Ku's deep fascination with him and the way she constantly encourages him to open up.

Where did you move to Doc?

I felt bad for April, for having to suffer Howard's barrage of criticism. Then I almost felt bad for Mike for having to come under the same dismissive attacks in the second half of the show, but Mike at least had the plus of Howard clearly finding him very funny.

April has "basically negative energy"? You mean the April who kept soldiering on while Howard badgered her, relentlessly criticising almost everything that did (and didn't) come out of her mouth for the entire episode?

True enough, KATG have a similar conundrum to Never Not Funny in that something which has made them one of the most financially successful comedy podcasts also limits the potential growth of their audience. In NNF's case it was the paywall, in KATG's case it remains the volume of material.

How bittersweetly ironic that you should post that the same week Podmass puts a new episode with the PFT/Pardo combo in The Rest. Their ep with John Lithgow has been the Best episode of DLM ever for so, so long.

Horatio's charac was fantastic but Scott had been so ludicrously hilarious playing off of Benny's straight manning in the pre-Horatio section it was almost a letdown in comparison.

The best kind. Right?

They've guested on pretty much every show that has guests except Nerdist and Carolla I think, so if Nerdist and Carolla are the only shows you listen to I guess it makes sense you've never heard of them. Podmass reviewed them favourably about a year ago and but being a daily show makes them tough to keep up with for a

They only talked about the name of the show and how it was Chemda's idea on every one of the 237 guest appearances they've ever done, so I can see how you might have missed it.

I wondered the exact same thing and am no closer to finding the answer.

It pains me to agree the Jimmy Dore ep of NNF belonged in The Rest, but that show has been on such a run of Bests (7-8 eps I'm guessing) that I can't be mad at it.

I don't think he's the worst, but his energyless monotone was pretty wearying considering the only other guest was a Will Forte on downers.

No it isn't. I would have lost my mind years ago if I didn't have podcasts to keep me sane, so they're literally essential as heck. LITERALLY.

Also loved the loooooong segment of dead air as Paul tried desperately not to lose his shit after Scott said fish from the ocean belonged in Non Dog And Cat Pet Heaven because they're the world's pets.
