GURL, it’s been ten years. It’s not a surprise. My partner likes lobster and champagne for VDay, Xmas & NYE. I do my best to make it happen. The excess of chocolate etcetera has fallen by the wayside with age, but we usually have some leftover chocolate from Xmas or even Halloween.

Now’s a good time to restate: once it was decided that shooting 20-or-so elementary school kids wasn’t enough for change, the door was opened for anything and everything.
Working at a school I actually had the insane thought the other day that at work more in an administrative area, so I’m less likely to be near anything if a shooting broke out. I was kind of ashamed of myself but not surprised I had taken it into account.
My kid’s high school did a hard lock down practice run today. This is our country now, and republicans are perfectly okay with dead children as long as their guns are safe from harm.
