You are doing a great service to alpacas everywhere

LOL. OK can you please explain the difference to us? Because I honestly need to know.

lol

Ugh so true

Can someone explain Carrie’s tweet to me? I don’t get itttttt

Ya. Also, I would imagine that flipping between a macrobiotic diet and whatever he’s eating in London would really be hard on the ole digestive system!

I agree that we’re unnecessarily obsessed with our phones, but it’s become incredibly hard to find pay phones in many places (I live in Canada but would say the same about what I’ve seen in the US). Pay phones were all over the place in a pre-cell phone world and I relied on them heavily as a kid.

Like, are they hunting? It’s deer season....

Totally agree! And I bet on $50 on it.

Also John McCain =/= Jack Donaghy. Jack Donaghy was successful.

lol thanks grandma

Late to the party, but based on some recent frustrating threads on Jez I have to add: mansplaining is almost inevitable when men are expressing an opposing view on an issue or perspective of women. For example the comment thread of a recent story about JJ Abrams recanting some sexist comments that offended many women

Same same! I think the only way we can stop it is to keep calling out the implied biases about boy stuff vs. girl stuff. And that’s what happened to JJ, and he recognized and apologized, so I think it’s a win!

I dunno, I think Reign kind of rolls around in the mouth a little. Saint is like dropping of a cliff

Ya kind of awkward....it’s abrupt? Or something?

There are two very real sides to this: how the fanbase defines itself (agree that there’s a very male bias here) and how the stories and films are experienced and felt by both genders. For the latter, the themes are very relevant to everyone, so it’s not limiting by gender.

You’ve implied that “boys thing” is a category, and that Star Wars is within it.

The issue is what you are defining as a “boys thing.” Politics and war? NOT boy things - these are human things.

It’s still an important correction to make. I found what he said to be upsetting and echoing Lucas’ similarly sexist views on what Star Wars is and what it means to women.
