We had to take our kids to Utah for a tournament one summer and we had time to kill a day, so we took them to an amusement park. The people all running the rides appeared to be 12-13 years old. Turns out that is legal in Utah (they are apparently considered adults at that age!), but it makes for a very unnerving…
I had some friends who worked at a smaller local amusement park (RIP Geauga Lake), and they said basically the same thing.
Hah, I worked there too but in the Rock Shop in Wayne’s World. Spent all day in the AC and rest of the park staff hated us since we got to wear jorts and those WW Tour Staff t-shirts. Ah, good memories.
My first job was at a walk-through amusement park attraction. You were basically a G-rated insult comic for the entire shift, just standing around fucking with people in line and occasionally doing tours. I’ve always said it’s going to be my retirement job, I had a blast at that gig.
Look, I understand that Norm Macdonald may have irreparably fucked his career going forward, but your list not including this interview pretty much invalidates it:
That’s my email. Whoops, I think I was choosing between two different ways of phrasing that and meant to say we’ve only gone beyond the wild card round 3 times.

I watched both The Phantom and The Shadow on the big screen, and I will have words for anyone who tries to crap on them. They were both cheesy, and cliched, but they were fun, pulp movies just like their source material.
In Bloomberg’s squeeze tests, hands did the job quicker, but the device was slightly more thorough.
That anthem was phenomenal. I think that was game 4 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Finals. The crowd singing that anthem gave me goosebumps and made me cry, and I’m American. Nothing will ever top that anthem. It’s a damn shame nothing will come close to that in this year’s playoffs.
Ha! Great story... I’m a big Angels fan so I remember, mostly fondly, Phillips’s cup-of-coffee with Anaheim. For a while me and a buddy considered him one of the few bright spots in the lineup*.. then the coke bust happened and we were left with a couple of dead seasons before their rag-tag run to the WS.
