As a Rugby sir, I have no idea why this is allowed in soccer. A player even getting in the referee’s face in Rugby is usually an automatic red, but for some reason in soccer the referees are expected to take it.

Not sure what number 24 said for the 2nd straight red but it must have been pretty good. And while the first one may not have been the right call, once you start grabbing and chest bumping the ref, it’s pretty much a no brainer. All in all, excellent team wide meltdown.

The trend of crowding and haranguing the referee needs to stop immediately. FIFA should instruct all of the pro leagues that only captains are allowed to talk to the ref and that anybody who touches the referee (outside of maybe a tap on the shoulder) is given a red card.
