You're as confused as the writer. You can get satellite TV and cable without a broadband plan, and you may be able to get TV service from your telco without a broadband plan. So the average American has three to four choices for pay TV service without a broadband plan and practically unlimited choice with broadband.…

This made me spit up my chai: "Roughly 98 percent of households with access to cable are served by only one cable company". But we all have access to DirecTV and Dish, and most can get TV from the phone company too. And that's not even counting Netflix. Really, this writer should be unemployed.
