Agree, Ford’s turbo-6 sounds kind of breathy and farty, like the hollow sound you get from Nissan VQs. I dunno, maybe I’m a bad commenter, I tend to think most V6s sound like crap with their overchop timing.

I drove across Oklahoma where the “fast option” was toll roads.

Rubber necking traffic jams fit in this category.

I also had a Delta 88 - 1985 with the half vinyl roof

“You don’t need AWD, you need snow tires!”

Sure, some of them do.

Most of them don’t. If she’s not talking about you, then don’t get mad about it.

You are vastly underestimating how processor intensive time variant turbulent flow is. A workstation will takes days or weeks per iteration.  Everyone uses a network of processors in parallel.  Think 128 or 256 cores in parallel.

The part that really chapped my ass and took my vote was they refuse to allow workers to set their pricing. They arn’t contractors if someone doesn’t get to set pricing and service. Honestly if the ride share apps said “we are a facilitator, we mate drivers with riders for a small flat fee” I could totally believe the

That’s odd. If a teenager takes a part time job at McDonalds they get better benefits and treatment than some gig workers.

If you decide to take ”gig” work... don’t complain about not having full benifits [SIC] that a fulltime [SIC] job offers and then cry to the .gov that you need them.

if your business model only works because you use slave labor and treat employees like shit then your business model doesnt work at all.

FYI - Dyno run starts at 8:12.

Some of the biggest hurdles in accelerating electrification are producing EVs that people actually want to drive, and converting people who “wouldn’t be caught dead in a Prius” to EV drivers. The Hummer is definitely a silly vehicle, but it achieves both of these goals.

Honestly? Electrify all the things. One can certainly argue that certain types of vehicle should not exist at all, but if it’s gonna exist and the technology is there to make a viable electric version of it (not the case for all types of vehicle, at least not yet) make it electric. Am I thrilled that the Hummer

I trust the government far sooner and quicker than I trust the corporations.

“Regulatory suicide” is the type of dipshit catchphrase college libertarians try to use as a debate gotcha.

The fact that U/L’s business model is fundamentally unsustainable is not a particularly compelling argument for allowing them to exploit their workers to help make up the difference.

Where “regulatory suicide” = actually enforcing existing labor law, instead of letting techbros abuse loopholes in the law to reduce labor costs.

Maybe they should spend, like a few thousand, and try to make the Silverado a little less hideous.

What happens when the CC company doesn’t apply your payment in time? Oh you sent it on time, and they probably even got it, either through the mail or online, but there was a glitch somewhere and it didn’t get applied to your account. You can argue to have any late fees removed but you’ve probably already lost
