Yes, people who type like morons are annoying. I tried informing you but apparently you take being a moron as a point of pride.

There are many areas around the country where what you are suggesting would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars...

Bullet trains exist, which is a major competitive advantage.

Electromagnetic and hydraulic valve actuation systems are forbidden.”
I expect that somewhere on this planet is a Christian Von Koeniggseg with this reaction:

“Best-looking crossover” is akin to “shiniest turd.”  Congrats on being the best of the worst, I guess.

Nope. It’s hideous, no matter what badge you put on it.

I’ve had a frustrating day; I over-reacted myself. Sorry! And again, thank you. Hopefully tomorrow is a good day for us both!

Please see my (edited) reply regarding the merits of the discussion. [I got chippy at the end of the reply; I’m used to fighting back, not backing-down.] You’re missing a key differentiation between “functionally tight” or secure (which is what most engineers and mechanics would default to, myself included) and what

I’m gonna agree with you there.  Even half-assed tightened lug nuts would have held on longer than 2 blocks.  I don’t carry a torque wrench with me, but if you tighten the lugs criss-cross (as the instructions say) you can just go *GRUNT* “CLICK” and call it good.

Exactly. I have no degree but last week I did forget to do the final torque of the lug nuts when I got the wheel back on the ground then test drove it for considerably farther than two blocks and when I remembered to tighten them not a single one had moved. And I live down half a mile of dirt washboard. These

Correct. I mean, if wheels fell off when not tightened with a torque wrench then torque wrenches would have to be included with the emergency repair kit that comes with every car and allows you to swap a flat tire for the “donut.” I've never seen such a kit that included anything other than a puny lug wrench.

I’m also salaried and I can tell you that if I don’t show up for work I have to take paid time off, and if I don’t have that I don’t get paid. Some union thugs blocking me from getting to work would definitely affect my ability to make money.

I own a gun and I’m anti gun. I will support a national gun buyback if one ever happens.

Nah, if you were correct the C8 would have four round-ish tail lights ;-)

No more pathetic than people whining about how awful it is to oppose a law that does nothing other than to make motorists pay out-of-pocket to make life marginally easier for our police, who already effectively enjoy carte blanche to do whatever they want and routinely get away with any and every offense you can name

If by nice and restrained, you mean dull and bland, then you are correct.

Have I driven a car that did 0-60 in under 3 seconds? Yes! It was *checks notes* the current Corvette! The ZR-1 is available with a manual, so why would the new one with ~250 fewer horsepower be “two fast for a stick”?

Dealerships can charge whatever they want because we’ve allowed them to exist for some strange reason.

...were you divorced for anger issues?

I’m actually lost in St. Louis right now. **send help**
