Except those comments were not arguing whether FSD was engaged or not.  They were operating under the assumption that it WAS on, and STILL blaming the accident on other drivers.

I still can’t figure out why heat pumps are considered a “costly” technology, but air conditioning isn’t. It’s literally the same cycle, just in reverse.  Yes, it means you have to have add a few more components to your AC and size it differently but I can’t figure out why this is somehow a huge financial hurdle in…

Go read the wiki page on heat pumps. They are essentially a reverse air-conditioner. They don’t need heat to make heat. They compress refrigerant to heat up the refrigerant then use that to make heat in the cabin.
