I hate to say it, but they are right that Beto made a mistake by saying this. He basically confirmed their paranoia, and gave the right wing/NRA crowd the ammunition they needed to attack the Democrats as a whole.

You cannot out-utility a utility vehicle. There is no way to make a sedan more practical or even as practical as a crossover. A sedan should be designed with looks, performance and handling in mind. It needs to be a car that people WANT to buy, not a car that people need to buy.
