It makes me wonder whether they discovered how to do this while programming the brake system to fix a massive turning radius?

It was a Bob Lutz project but before Bob Lutz was at the height of his power, maybe?
I agree, but given the NYT’s recent record, it’s seemed like they were either going to give it to Biden or Buttgieg, and I don’t think Mayor Pete’s ever truly had traction outside of getting fat donor cash. I don’t think they were ever considering Warren and they absolutely weren’t going to endorse Sanders given that…
I wasn’t sure she’d do well replacing Fry, but she really made it her own and I can’t think of anyone else who could have taken over.
She’s still doing QI though, right?
In today’s Guardian:
I don’t really have a response on this, I tend to agree with you. That being said, Simona De Silvestro is a great example of a reasonably fast driver who can only seem to get crap drives. That Nissan she was driving in the Supercars series was pathetic.
Because if the problem you’re trying to solve is that female drivers find it difficult to find sponsorship to pay for their ride, the two ways of fixing that problem are either paying out a solid prize for the championship series you’re running or providing a wide reach for people who want to watch the racing,…
Women have been driving off and on in Formula E since the series began. Simona De Silvestro drove a full season for Andretti a few years ago.
Frankly, the big and imo just criticism of the W-series has always been that the payout just isn’t enough. It raises a driver’s profile, puts them on the radar, but the prize is a pittance in comparison to the cost of a racing season. If the series had more visibility, or if it were easier to track down a broadcast,…
NISMO still is, as far as I know. Most racing teams are sponsoring competitions for sim drivers as a sort of ladder system, because obviously it’s a lot cheaper to drive a simulator than it is to run an actual car, and that’s a lot of wasted talent if you don’t open things up to computer jockeys.
Hopefully this means we’ll actually be able to watch it this year. Last year’s coverage was atrocious.
C’mon Subaru, you leaned in to the lesbian market in the 90s, they were already there and all you had to do was give some winking recognition in your ads and they’re customers for life. Your new market is vape bros. Lean in.
Even if you accept the narrative that someone must be ‘implicated’ in this, that there’s someone to blame, it’s completely obvious who it is.
Rally Raid is still the most dangerous and difficult form of racing in the world, and Goncalves was one of the most experienced riders out there. To the credit of all of the participants of the race, several of his competitors stopped to help while the air ambulance was on the way.
