You’re pretending like the two genders already exist on a level playing field. In a patriarchal society, that just isn’t true.

Look, I’m not a fan of comic book movies, and I’m a film snob, and hell, just look at my name and avatar, but even I rolled my eyes a bit when Hawke invoked Bergman and Bresson.

Are these the same people who are gleefully celebrating James Gunn being fired for what are inarguably dumb and offensive jokes?  One of these MAGA idiots suggested to me on Twitter that Gunn is as bad or worse than Roy Moore and Jim Jordan.

These aren’t copies. He isn’t copying anything - these are transformative works that reframe a narrative into something completely new. This does require originality, passion, and work. He’s using the language of mainstream comics to say something meaningful, speaking from a culture many in that mainstream don’t fully…

Out there in the galaxy, right now, hundreds of billions of planets are spinning around their respective stars. Billions of those are bound to be habitable in some capacity (how many, no one knows yet).

I’m not sure if this is true, but I think if it’s not, it’s probably best to let sleeping dogs stars lie.

Bademosi is a funny guy. There was an NFL films clip of him on the sidelines when someone made a great play. He started jumping and whooping and hollering and ended up right next to belichick. When he realized it, he stopped, said “oops” or something, then moved away. Belichick actually laughed.

Considering just how it went down, it seems like it could lead to an emotionally better path ahead for J. Jonah Jameson, but we’ll have to wait and see if he’s really capable of giving up one of his oldest, hardest grudges now that he knows the face behind Spider-Man’s mask.
