The major killer for this is the lack of back compat. It’s so nice to play PS4 games on the PS5, or Xbone games on a Series X. It’d be wonderful to be able to upgrade from PSVR to PSVR2 and keep the existing library, but I know some very huge diehard PSVR fans that are skipping PSVR2 indefinitely because of this.

You should try Metal: Hellsinger and just turn on the “always on beat” option.  I turned the difficulty down and turned that on and it didn’t completely obliterate the challenge but made the game far more enjoyable.

Was there previous criticism or did they just take it upon themselves to make the change?  I can’t imagine anyone giving half a shit about the previous designs to make a stink.

I’d bet that has more to do with SE being able to stuff that game onto the Switch and Sony knowing they probably can’t make it financially viable to prevent them from getting all those sales.

There won’t be an Xbox version, ever.  I suspect PC will eventually happen but he’s under the thumb of Sony to help move consoles.

I fall on the side of the workers, and two of the largest unions in the country are lobbying for it to go through and the current employees of ABK are lobbying for it to go through. I definitely understand antitrust concerns but Sony still has an outsize hold on the market, squashing this deal isn’t going to help…

It’d have been pretty hard for MS to tell regulators anything about Redfall during the ZeniMax acquisition process, it wasn’t announced until June 2021... three months after the acquisition was completed.

The more I hear it the more Mario doesn’t sound like the star in his own movie? He’s completely unfamiliar with the entirety of the Mushroom Kingdom?  Ten bucks says this movie starts with live action Chris Pratt getting sucked into a pipe or something stupid.

I really think the pandemic put a huge dent in Nintendo’s plans to do a proper Switch Pro and it would address many of the largest criticisms against the platform. At this point it’s probably more likely a “Switch 2" will exist before the much rumored Switch Pro will.

They’re also in the middle of the biggest acquisition in gaming history and getting slapped with a potential refusal from the UK authorities to complete the ActiBlizz purchase based on drastically harming…
