What makes you think MS is struggling? Back in April they announced they have 23 million Game Pass subscribers... at even the base price of $10 a month that’s $230 million a month, and if the numbers just stay flat (they increased by 5 million from January 2021 to April 2021) and don’t increase at all that’s over 2.5

Here’s how I mostly use game pass: I don’t have to put the disc in. It’s great!

They can all be played on PC, there are no games that are only playable on Xbox Series. As for Game Pass, if it said Game Pass in the conference it meant either on Xbox or on PC. They are going to (or already have?) dropped branding for Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass.  It’s just Game Pass now.

I mean, it’s not really the same thing especially considering Skyrim exists on like six thousand platforms. Kratos on Xbox would be like Master Chief on Playstation or Mario on Sega in the 90s. This is more like Sony buying exclusivity from Square Enix for FF16 and FF7R, just on a (much) bigger scale.

Two other companies are facing major backlash over their inability to produce systems quickly enough to meet demand

These things also take an extremely long time to develop and put into production. They’re obviously working on it (regardless of any “leaks”, it’s like saying Chevy is working on a C9 Corvette: duh) and it might be pretty well ready to go, but you’re right, they don’t have a ton of incentive to slow their roll on the

You keep posting this shit on any article that has anything to do with Microsoft and it’s impossible to read it as anything other than “I have a Playstation and can’t play Starfield, WAH!”

Few developments are more indicative of a project’s rockiness than a game of musical chairs at the top.

Imagine being so rich and petty that even though you could release it on a platform and make more money you won’t because another company would also get a sliver of it...

They get a ton of cash from Sony for exclusivity, so unless MS comes calling with specific deals for certain games they aren’t going to port them.

2022 is six months away.

If you sat through the previous 90 minutes of shit at that show you would have been leaping out of your seat.  I don’t give a shit about soulsbourne games but it’s fun to see things that are fairly objectively good that other people are excited about.

The systems have been out of stock for a straight 8 months.  They’re trying to sell games to people that haves systems to play them on.

You didn’t enjoy the combat? I thought they supremely nailed that, and the aesthetic was wonderfully faithful to the original. I’m replaying FF8 right now, and recently replayed FF7 and there’s a lot less gameplay in those titles than there is in FF7R unless you count mashing through textboxes to go to another

Honestly it’s a testament to how much they got right with it.  Ending changes aside (no one will know how good/bad the ending of this is until future installments), there’s not a ton to objectively complain about.  The game didn’t even get a patch, day one or otherwise, for months!

That doesn’t even remotely explain why the customer change broke a significant portion of Fastlys services. A customer made a “valid configuration change”, the software had a bug, and then... ?

Haha, I still have that shirt from that year as well, and also a “Gizmondo” shirt that I still wear to the gym... 17 years later? What the hell is wrong with me?

Tesla is to Wing Commander what The Boring Company is to Star Citizen.

For these people? Sure. For the market? Not really. This is such a tiny fraction of what’s happening with pricing right now, there are certainly gonna be speculators left holding the bag when the collectible markets correct, but that won’t have a housing crash effect on the market.

I’m sure they’re doing both, but another SKU for GTA5 I’m sure is a hell of a lot easier quicker than GTA6.
