Yeah, but we’re way, way past that now and how I wish the US would have treated this shit seriously from the onset. If the primary goal of testing is to identify who needs to isolate, but then advocating for everyone to isolate anyways, why bother?

Ok buddy, you win. All I want is certainty and there is none and I see an event like this as something that’s just going to be normal precautions a year from now or a decade from now. Constant testing, mostly vaccinated, but no certainty.
I fully understand that, but the subtext of this:
It costs me nothing? How fucking dare you. It’s cost me my whole god damn family you piece of shit. I have to live with the fact that I’ll never see my parents again because I’m taking this seriously and they aren’t, and at some point in my life I’m going to have to tell my son that his grandparents found their shitty…
So what are you advocating for? Is there a future where humans can safely interact with one another? Because herd immunity isn’t happening, do we all just live in a bubble forever?
Ok, so I’m vaccinated, my wife is vaccinated, the other kids parents are vaccinated and we just... never interact? What are you advocating for?
Even if none of these people are sick or will get sick with COVID 19, they might still be asymptomatic carriers and spread it amongst themselves, and then unwittingly expose other people to the disease later on, making them sick.
There are other less tangible losses we’re all struggling with as well. Personally my relationship with my father has cratered and simply won’t be the same, ever.
He had a stream with Drake and got a shitload of people who never watch twitch to use their Twitch Prime free subs on him. Nothing wrong with it, but there were definitely things outside of just him that got him there.
How is firing not the absolute lowest bar in this case? At face value absent all of the context of the case a cop who can’t differentiate between their service weapon and tazer, which are not holstered on the same hip, which are not even remotely the same feel or weight, has absolutely no business being a cop. How can…
I don’t understand why traction control is some big bad awful “nanny” to these guys. It’s there to keep you safe and keep others around you safe and I assure you in a car with that much power the only place it could POSSIBLY be limiting you is at the absolute bleeding edge of performance on a track. I have a 650hp Z06…
Is it not OK for someone to just sit down and game online and not have to hear some kid (or adult) screaming obscenities on the comms?
I think you’re underestimating how fast technology is moving. My son is about to turn two and I’m not sure if he’ll ever need to learn to drive ANY car, let alone a stick.
That’s my concern. They’ll let the future pass them by and become the new Sega; making games for their former competitors.
There’s plenty! You should check it out!
Microsoft will let them do it, but MS has absurd minimum print run requirements for Xbox titles so Limited Run doesn’t bother unless it’s something really big. They let iam8bit do the big Ori special edition stuff and a few others.
Also, since today is the last day of the Mario 35th celebrations it only makes sense that today is also the final day to purchase Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light on the eShop.
And some years that stuff sticks around for six months at a time. It’s truly awful.
As I understand it, it wasn’t the performance issues that got it pulled it was the crashes. It may have ran like crap, but if it ran like stable crap it probably wouldn’t have been pulled.
Not to mention “more devs” doesn’t linearly accelerate the release date of the patches. They could throw a thousand more people at the issues but that doesn’t mean it’s gonna get fixed a thousand times faster. I’m sure they have exactly as many people working on the fixes as makes sense.
