I think they’re working on justifying the price increase with higher quality games. Februarys Games with Gold are pretty huge games: Gears 5, Resident Evil (GC Remake), Lost Planet 2, and the Indiana Jones game for original Xbox.

I would go to a thousand Gatherings before I intentionally got within a football field of a Proud Boys or Boogaloo meeting.

They weren’t expecting to play next gen games, it’s not a next gen game. It’s not available on PS5 or XSX yet. It’s absolutely a PS4, Xbox One, and PC game. They were expecting a playable game that doesn’t look as good on their platforms as it does on the more powerful counterparts. People with a GTX 980 rightfully

Now playing

I don’t think anyone had hopes it would run at 1080p on the Xbox One or PS4? Both base systems routinely fail to hit that mark in far less demanding titles, not sure why that’s any kind of benchmark for success.

As for the 780ti, it handles the game, playable, at 1080p on low with high crowd density. It’s not awesome,

Exactly!  Just like the only difference between my Schwinn and a Ford GT is the cost.  The added complexity doesn’t make any difference in how these products get to market!

And OP wasn’t specifically talking about Cyberpunk, but AAA development.  Yes, Cyberpunk had a hype beat behind it that wasn’t going to allow it to fail, but it’s the exception.

To be clear, Cyberpunk 2077 was announced before the PS4 and Xbox One were. Not before they were released, before those consoles were announced.

The bar is under the subfloor and we keep tripping over it.

They’re afraid for their lives, and I couldn’t give any less of a shit if the monsters they’ve created fucking annihilate them.  And the worst part: it’s working.  There will be zero republicans in the house to vote for impeachment because they’re negotiating with the terrorists they created.

That’d be odd, I’d guess a company that makes video games would want to hire them.

Have you played the Bridge Constructor Portal game?  I was not at all expecting to enjoy it anywhere near as much as I did, and the DLC is pretty fantastic too.

I think it was more the excellent support the game got over five years with two really incredible DLC packs (one of which could have nearly been a sequel) that gave people really high hopes for a better experience at launch for Cyberpunk.  Lessons learned and all that, but apparently not.

I’m less concerned with the reality of a genuine Trump run in 2024, and far, far more concerned with that giving him an excuse to continue to hold rallies.  Removing any chance at a 2024 run removes any guise of his rallies being anything more than stroking his ego, and some of even the most diehard chuds won’t follow

I still don’t think it’s too much to ask that the game runs well on Xbox One or PS4 hardware. The game was announced BEFORE those consoles were and was specifically targeted for them. I’m confident that it’ll get there, but releasing in the state they did and only allowing reviewers access to the PC version before

I haven’t played the PC version of Witcher 3, but I’m currently going through a Death March playthrough on XSX (started on Xbox One X in September, christ this game is huge) and it’s been remarkably stable. There’s definite animation glitches occasionally, but every “issue” I’ve encountered with the game has been of

Because they’re this fuckin stupid:

I understand this, but it’ll bring the Senate to an absolute halt and will play into republicans hands of preventing any Biden efforts to, you know, actually help people get through this fucking pandemic.

Intelligent people have a much better understanding of how much they don’t know than stupid people. She resides, in all things, at the peak of mount stupid:

Holy shit, I’ve somehow missed this.  Thank you.

Boyo, there’s a real smooth brained take in this thread and it isn’t from bassguitarhero.
