Define “win”.

Maybe? I don’t know that a huge portion of either customer base is going to opt for expanded storage outside of traditional external drives. It’s insanely expensive for what amounts to a very small convenience of not having to move a game to the onboard storage.

I never had a Vita, was there any onboard storage or did you HAVE to get a proprietary card?

That’s just the cost of the technology, which is still incredibly new. A comparable speed/size drive for a desktop costs about the same.

Definitely potential for this to be bad, but this:

You’re right, I was getting mixed up with XSX games running off external, which isn’t possible, but all these titles (unless they’ve gone smart-delivery up to XSX) should still run off it.

$220 is nothing to scoff at, and we still don’t know exactly which NVME drives the PS5 will be compatible with, but we do know they have to be PCIe 4.0 compliant and they aren’t any cheaper.

You can use a traditional HDD for the Xbox One games too, it’s right there in the article.

There’s something to be said for downloading a game once. You won’t be able to run these games on a Series X off this drive (and I wouldn’t recommend it on an Xbone either), but you can transfer them to the internal from it which for some may be faster than re-downloading, or running against data caps.

Nope. Turns out I just got lucky and that this was every bit the shitshow that the PS5 pre-orders were.

You’re right. I get most of what he’s saying which seems contradictory, but it’s not helpful, I’ll take it down.  ETA: Or not, I can’t delete my own posts?

That’s a really good point! It’ll also leave Bethesda a bit of time to really polish up that XSX port of Skyrim, heh.

I certainly hope having all these studios in one place leads to some great collaboration and quality titles, but from the outside looking in it seems like there might be some awkward meetings in the future.

Initial reaction: Holy shit. This is huge (because it is).

This is an impressive word salad you’ve got going on here.

I think that’s just a conditioned reaction from the industry, honestly, and I keep finding myself having them too. “If it were truly a Series X/S exclusive, they’d move consoles!” But that’s clearly not what they’re going for, and for most of us that’s kind of a suspect motive because it’s so... alien.

I don’t think there’s a god damn thing democrats can do, the senate is still republican and there’s no fucking way they don’t stuff Roger Stone or some shit onto the court.

I’m getting annoyed by the camera in Sunshine. After 15 years of better cameras, it’s annoying when it gets stuck on buildings if you’re zoomed too far out, and it won’t close in automatically.

That was one of my favorite features of the game.  I took a couple long breaks from it before eventually platinum-ing it, and those were a great help.  What an excellent game, can’t wait to replay it on Xbox!
