Am I too old for the hype cycle?

I never went for mile high club, but at least it’s like what... a minute per attempt? Not that it doesn’t add up and get frustrating as hell, but it’s no Mein Leben (which holy shit, what a ballsy achievement to even put in the game)

I’m with ya. I’m at nearly 92% completion across all games and closing in on 250k GS. I’m totally fine if a game wants to put in some extreme difficulty achievements, but get annoyed when they’re outsized for the list. If a game has 50 achievements for 1000 points, but the uber-difficulty one is 150 points... well,

Only if there’s achievements for doing so and doing so isn’t just an interminable slog. I’ll brave through Halo 4 on Legendary, solo for that (not a second time though, MCC), but I went back to CoD4 years after to try and get through that on Veteran and just couldn’t stomach it. I’ve played a bunch of CoD games on

I loved it the first time I played it, but I did play it way after launch on Xbox One so I didn’t encounter any of the technical issues or stupid gated collectibles (I think they tore out that second screen garbage and just left the chest available) were in my way.

2020 has taught me the problem with America is that it’s full of Americans. It’s going to be very difficult to fix.

Fair enough, and I suppose Sony and MS are running two different races. The optics of an overpriced console aren’t so important for MS when they’re really focused on driving gamepass subs, as opposed to Sony driving to move the PS4 userbase to PS5 as fast as possible.

I really disagree, I thought it looked exactly like I want a modern Halo game to look and it actually got me really hype.  It gave me huge Halo 3 vibes and I’m definitely down for that.  It was the rest of the presentation that was a confusing letdown for me.

I think that’s where I (and a lot of other people) are getting tripped up.  What’ll run on both Xbone and XSX?  They made it clear before this that all first party stuff would, but what was first party during this presentation wasn’t clear to me at all, and even the stuff that was it wasn’t clear which ones actually

A lot of that was clear to me before the presentation, a lot of it wasn’t after. I was under the impression this was supposed to be all first party titles, which it most definitely wasn’t, and as for what’ll be Xbone/XSX compatible, that’s what this whole article is about it being unclear. Also, who knows how many of

Someone on another thread today said Microsoft so far hasn’t been the colossal fuckup they were at the launch of the Xbone, and I agree but... their messaging is still dogshit. What’ll be console exclusive, what’ll be backwards compatible, what’ll release on both Xbone and XSX, what’ll have separate versions... who

I do remember MS saying that about not showing games that are forever away to avoid another “Scalebound” situation, but I’d expect to see a 2021 date on some of those trailers if that were true.

I say this with all the love in my heart as a pretty serious Xbox stan:

I doubt many people came away with much positivity. I’m a pretty staunch Xbox stan and... oof, that was rough. I went from “Day One for sure XSX” to “probably not gonna get it. The only two games that looked good were Halo and Medium, others will probably be good but there’s no point in getting hype over games coming

Initial thought: I guess that’s a good fit.

As an American, I’ve come to realize the problem with America is that it’s full of Americans. What an absolute embarrassment we are.

Counterpoint: wear a fucking mask you enormous asshole, and maybe try not consuming such ridiculous partisan dreck.

Definitely going to keep plowing through Crosscode. Man, it’s hitting all the right MMO and Secret of Mana nostalgia notes for me. The combat is becoming maybe too complex, but I think I’ll eventually get used to having so many options and figure out a play style that works.

I think it's setting up a longer term strategy.  By going with the "Xbox Series" name, I could see them introducing new iterations way faster, kinda like how we consume phones now.  Multiple levels available at any time, refreshed yearly.  That's at least one way I see them going with this since they're very much

Sure, but if it was unjust you’d say it’s bullshit, and say you’re filing suit against Twitch for breach of contract, and blah blah blah. You can still rage against the situation without talking about the specifics in the lawsuit.  I don’t think he’s even claimed it’s wrong, just that golly, he’s got no idea what’s
