My parents got a car with the camera rear view and I found it almost impossible to use. A lifetime of focusing through the mirror (as one does) to having to focus on the mirror itself to see the image was insanely disorienting.

He had already won two of the previous four matches, this was the fifth and final match.  I haven no idea how anyone has any sympathy for him straight up quitting when clearly winning was possible.

So he played four full matches before this and was able to win two of them.

The young are stepping up, they’re just being fucking squashed by the currently entrenched septuagenarians.

To be fair, the democrats WANT to take the guns and just haven’t had the balls or power to do it.

Because he hasn’t been convicted of anything.

The Italians would need one for when the fire suppression system is malfunctioning, but only illuminated if it’s unable to suppress an active fire.

There is reportedly some bipartisan support for a couple of better ideas, like ending “surprise billing,” where people who go to an in-network hospital but see an out-of-network doctor end up with massive bills.

I’ve found youtube to be a really great source of this type of information from ex-pats who now live in whatever destination you’re going to and can tell you what phrases they know they need the most in day to day life. I’ve been on a Japan binge the last few weeks and saw this I think yesterday:

Last time I went overseas I had to get a bunch of vaccinations to go to west Africa, so while I was in there I asked for a script and they wrote it. I’ve also heard just telling your doctor you’re going overseas and asking for something for “travellers diarrhea” should be enough.

I probably haven’t had Taco Bell in at least a decade, but I used to love their quesadillas.  Is it the same as the regular one?  As soon as he got to that one I thought “I know what that is, and it is delicious”.

And his aide just had to sit there and change slides for him the whole time.  I don’t think I’d be able to do that.

I got some pretty serious food poisoning in the Philippines a couple years ago on a trip to see a friend stationed in Seoul. We had 6 days in the Philippines and I spent most of it with what felt like someone squeezing my stomach and intestines from the inside and being absolutely, fantastically miserable.

When I lived in the Detroit metro area with a bunch of family and friends in Chicago, I loved taking the train there. It takes about two hours longer than a drive but none of the enormous headache of driving through some form of interminable Chicago construction traffic, and none of the hassle of trying to put a car…

That shit builds character, son.
