Would they hold up? Yes, having done track time, my Brembos would hold up. Don’t get me wrong, I always swap pads and rotors afterwards, safety first. Damn Kinja wouldn’t let me respond sooner. My issue with the Tesla is that it is so fast in a straight line, that you don’t need track time to get them to fade quickly,

How did this go as fast as it did around the Ring, much less finish?

It was billed as a performance vehicle and a track car, this needed to have brakes that can withstand these stops. S**t, my Mustang can withstand this test.

Or Coyote swap...

Seconded.

I used to hate these, but there are so many in my neighborhood with some nice mods, I actually kinda love these now.

1000% this.

Not hard to see the mistake here with an 8 Series, best of luck, these cars are epic when they are working right.

I do the same, because if I drive it too much, I will just keep it. Case and point, my 2020 Mustang GT.

I have spoken at length about my Abarth experience already.

It just wasn’t right off the dealer lot. My first issues were within a week of buying the car. Fiat agreed to buy the car back 2 days after receiving the letter from my lawyer. From start to finish, it took a month to get my money back. The car I drove at Laguna Seca had clearly been beaten on, but it still felt

I had a nasty issue with my waste gate and nearly all 2013 Abarths had issues with the C510 transmissions, a lot were bought back because of it. Mine lugged hard off boost, it was never right though in just about every regard, the front passenger seat would never lock into place either, even after replacement.

Never had a problem in San Francisco in my GTI, Mustang GT, Rabbit, or 135is. The Abarth was just gutless while off boost, it couldn’t get out of it’s own way, especially when the waste gate got stuck open. It was a bad car made badly.  Good luck on trolling.

I was at a standstill,  I even got a letter years later from a class action specifically talking about the C510 transmission from the 2013 Abarth, this is a well known issue from that year.

I have one car I regret buying and that was my 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth. When it worked (which wasn’t often) it was great fun, you knew it was slow and too tall, but it didn’t matter because it made you feel special. When it didn’t work...

My Mustang cannot fit bigger brakes in the 18" wheels, so 19's are necessary for that, but yeah, for the most part they make no sense.

As a driver of a 2020 Mustang GT with a 6 speed, I would say that a manual transmission is highly overrated. It is usually slower, gets worse fuel economy and is worse in daily traffic, I don’t believe those who say it isn’t. Modern automatics and dual clutch transmissions don’t detract much in the driving experience,

Plus spending is literally investing in our economy. Cutting spending is a right wing pipe dream, it would crash the economy.

That money is absolutely real. Just because it isn’t liquid doesn’t mean it’s fake.
