You probably also think kneeling is disrespecting the flag and veterans or whatever too.

Mazdas are about as reliable as VW. The EA888 that VW uses is pretty bulletproof save for early turbos on the MK7s with bad impeller shafts. Between my wife and I, we have had 5 VWs starting with my MK5 Rabbit and they have been bulletproof with an odd recall every now and then.

I appreciate every car on that list, I salute you!

Mazda isn’t exactly known for reliability either. They sit right around where VW does last I checked. Audi sits higher than both. Anecdotal evidence alert: My Mazda 3 Hatch was an absolute disaster from the word go with countless problems. I was in the middle of having it lemoned when someone put it out of its misery

Dear Mazda, this looks really cool, but could you please make a real MS3?

I would say nicer than the Si, but the GTI is a stretch. That said, the GTI has bigger brakes, better transmission options, and a lsd. The MK7 will run circles around it, not to mention the MK8. Even the 300hp Golf R isn’t as fast at the track.

Fuck, I hate myself for saying this, but I really like this.

I tend to change cars every few years, so reliability isn’t a huge concern, but it also can’t keep leaving me stranded like my Abarth did. Of the 5 VWs I have had, I only had to call a tow once when. A crank case sensor went bad and the engine ran too rough. My Mini had to be towed once, but that is because a work

The G really won’t drive the same. I have done both and the G really didn’t have the same athleticism. That said, it is a fantastic grand tourer and in no way a bad choice. I really want the IPL actually. *opens Craigslist, is threatened with divorce*

FACT!

That is a clean Jag! I just went from six to midnight.

I bought a GTI because it was better to drive. That 2.0t is one of the best engines out there in any car.

A Stillen supercharger, revised bushings, and NISMO springs really make it a Cayman killer. Probably one of the finest cars I have ever driven and I have driven a lot of cars.

You do, as Clarendon would say, you are driving an ending. That or a used BMW 1 Series.

So my buddy has a 2013 touring with Nismo springs, Injen exhaust, all bushings replaced with stiffer ones and a Stillen supercharger and the car is making somewhere in the range of 500hp. SWEET JESUS is it good to drive, like really good, like great. It is analog, manual, tons of power, phenomenal handling, and it

It came with my tune kit and it is LOUD when the flap is open. Expensive, but worth it.

I can appreciate the color of your car. I think we have traded comments before, I recognize that car. Is yours a 2020?

Does it count if it is an F60 Countryman with JCW Tune Kit?

My experience with my 245, may she RIP, my wife’s Fit, and her Tiguan have taught me that more power means getting on the freeway is decidedly less terrifying. Living in the Bay Area with short entrances and Texas with insane drivers really does favor a car that can get out of it’s own way. Cars are also far heavier

Heavier than the 940 too in some cases if you get the Golf R. My GTI was heavier than my 245!
