Fuck, there go my two guesses. I drive a Mini, so I am in the 4th most hated car. 

Considering that we now have higher speed limits and a VW Golf now weighs more than a Volvo 245 wagon did, more power is necessary. I mean a 3 series weighs almost 1,000 lbs more than it did 30 years ago. And it’s one thing when everyone has no power, but when the speed limit was 55mph, 0-60 didn’t matter.

You don’t get what you don’t ask for. I don’t work in car sales and I love customers who are black and white. It prevents my time from being wasted and if they buy, I will give a better deal because I know what I am working with.

I love customers like you, it’s win win when customers do their research first. Best part is, they are repeat buyers and I give good pricing because both parties know it is an easy sale. I work in enterprise software.

That sucks, dick move on the dealer’s part and they lose all integrity when they pull shit like that.

The best way is to just ignore it. Contacting a sales person and wasting time is a dick move, they didn’t send the direct mailer, their marketing department and potentially the manufacturer did.

That is terrible advice for any salesperson or buyer, it is a waste of time. It is a huge fight and shows the buyer isn’t serious. If the buyer is serious, they would understand the market for the car and come in at a reasonable price. No one wins here being disingenuous on either side.
