I much rather watch Mary be tempted me him. Louie is ZZZZZZZZZ Antoine looks like fun, and he's a king, not an errand boy like these writers turned Louie into. Antoine is going to be the character I love even though he does bad bad things.
Yea Mary blaming Francis and Louis's letter showing up right after made this rape look as if it was nothing more than a plot device to start a love triangle.
final ratings were a .4. Reign can't survive with these figures. I agree the show is too dark. And now there's no way the show can get any lighter. People didn't sign up for a poor version of GOT. Just watching the early episodes of reign and this feels like an entirely different show. No one wants to see our leads…
we'll find out re conde next week when his brother arrives. His brother's arrival next week leads me to be believe conde knew about the attack. the show's only going to get darker if you can believe it. bad for ratings.
replace francis with conde and I agree. Based on other spoilers, I think this rape will be used to further a love triangle.
I did not like the way the showrunner basically dodged that question. seems to me she had no answer for it
I can't believe they went there. Even though I read the spoiler, I just didn't actually think they would do it.
With these ratings, they won't make a decision probably until May. I'm sure they regret making an early decision to renew reign last year considering reign is now the lowest rated show on the CW
The way Reign is looking these days I'm not sure I want to see a third season.
Possibly. I really think the show has to have Francis make poor decisions, in order to build up Narcisse and Conde. If Francis was making good decisions, those two would have no purpose. But I'm also pretty sure Mary's friendship with Conde will blow up in her face in the back half of the season. So maybe the writers…
Well that may be because the actor who plays him has only one facial expression. so I would say there's some hope there's still a twist coming. The showrunner has stated Narcisse and Conde are the faces of the religious conflict. I don't see how that is true unless Conde is truly Protestant.
More concerning is that it would be character assassination for Mary.
I love this post so much.
well that's because you REALLY don't like francis….
I'm sure he'll turn against them eventually my only concern is his reason for turning will be related to Mary, i.e. him finally making a move and Mary rejecting him. Considering who Conde was in real life, this would be a big disappointment.
I thought this episode was a bore.
I refuse to believe there's not a twist coming up with Louis. I really hope he just won't be someone who flips overs to the other side later, but that's how it's looking. So disappointing.
Oh ok. RL Conde was a pretty fascinating dude with a fascinating story, so while I don't have my hopes too high for the CW's version of him , I do hope they somewhat do him justice, unlike how they treated Diane.
See that would screw up Conde for me. RL Conde wasn't anyone's love sick puppy. he TRULY believed in the corruption of the catholic church and the Valois family and put family above all. Not to mention he had women and babies all over the place because he was too focused on his cause to give a damn. Having him have…
