Like you, I'm also torn. It would be FAR more interesting for it to be revealed he's been planning this and is seizing the opportunity to take advantage of the Queen of France's current vulnerable state. And the showrunner has described Conde as being very clever which to me means there's a possibility he's conning

I thought the Louis/Mary dialogue was just awful. But I do think the writers went over the top there to make Louis's future betrayal even more eventful. I think it's going to be Mary's ultimate denial that pushes him over the edge and to go after francis because this is the CW.

oh I totally thought Conde was lying and he's really a Protestant

Listen I get Francis telling Bash over Catherine or Mary is kind of dumb because Bash is less equipped to handle political conflicts but I loved it! because I love the brothers working together! And I'm happy Bash is getting in on the action! But eww at him doing his what was 12 year old sister at the time. How in the

Very good episode. My only complaint is I wish Bash/Kenna were more involved. This ep reminded me of early season 1 Reign. The show is best when it doesn't take itself too seriously. And so far I've read nothing but positive things about this episode. I wish the showrunners would take note. They suck when they try to

no, not when she first left. she left with no explanation on their wedding day. she explained later when she was dragged back to court.

ha! yes! I remember that!

I think they're more leading up to Louis becoming a protestant leader (if he isn't already) and going against francis and playing Mary like a fiddle to do it. This is a fine plot, but the writers aren't doing a good job of establishing this character. All the audience knows is he's really angry, sympathizes with

atleast in reign both genders commit this act. Mary did the same to him after hearing of the prophecy

I agree with this rating. Episode was blah. These writers just aren't capable of properly handling serious drama. Watching their shallow take on the Pro/Cath divide is simply cringeworthy.

no, it was mary's idea. The rest got dragged along with it. And lola nor francis thought francis and mary would see each other again or that francis would be king. Mary was getting ready to start her life with another man who she working to make the next king of francis and was happy with. So they didn't think they

but Mary needs to direct some of that anger towards herself. The one that kicked francis to the curb and attempted to strip him of his crown, because there would be no baby if not for her actions. Her refusal to take any responsibility for the situation she's in, while yelling at lola about taking responsibility, is

Now that the kid is claimed. His death is inevitable. I wonder how he will go? A plot by Narcisse, Catherine, or Conde to get rid of Francis's sole heir?

I'm not either. Not convinced this show can survive with Toby Regbo and Meagan Fellows

that supposed to happen around ep 10. There was nothing indicating mary would lose her baby then

Based on what we know of Narcisse, the long con. I wouldn't mind if Lola and Narc enter into a relationship that would be mutually beneficial. Narcisse is not afraid of Francis, so Lola could use him to get out of the situation she's stuck in. And of course Narcisse would be the step father to the King's only heir. I

I thought this episode was a mess. I only liked Greer/Castleroy/Leith stuff and theLola/Narcisse plot should be interesting.

I'm sure they must keep costs down due to the very low ratings. If by some miracle they get a third season, it will be even worse because the CW only keeps around shows with such lackluster ratings if they are cheaply produced i.e. heart of dixie. Reign can't afford to go all out.

I imagine at some point we will get Conde's story. I believe he will turn out to be a Huguenot as Francis briefly mentioned when talking to Mary that there are some protestants looking to remove him from the throne and replace him with one of their own i.e. Conde. It was almost a throw away line that alot of viewers
