That’s great for Russell Westbrook but Mike Trout is still the superior hitter by nearly every advanced metric

For a while I was binge-watching the Cinemax (I know) show Banshee on my laptop on flights, because it’s fun and insane and comically violent but almost a softcore porn in its earlier seasons. So I just found myself covering up the laptop or lowering the screen so that, presumably, no one could see it. I just wanted…
A few years ago my home was broken into and I was robbed of my jewelry. My grandmother’s charm bracelet. The bracelet my dad gave to my mom on their first Valentine’s Day together. An engraved watch my parents had given to me when I graduated from high school. A set of gold bangles my Auntie bought for me in India to…
Good point, HamNo. I’m sure the criminals will pawn the jewelry for 100% of it’s value, retain a small amount of the cash for rent payments and daily needs, then donate the majority to the local teacher’s union.
The goldfish crackers are stale
“Hey, it’s your first payday. I know you don’t like materialistic things so instead of a paycheck I wrote you a poem.”
I referred to a couple guys as “hipsters” the other day and boy did they get upset. Apparently the politically correct term is “conjoined twins”.
5 years, 8 months, 3 days, 4 hours, and 36 minutes.
Those Goldfish crackers are gonna taste reeeal good to you when it’s time to pay your mortgage. Taste my wrath, nerd
Went to a bar in Chicago, total hipster neighborhood, to meet up with friends. Some rail thin bartender with a handlebar mustache scoffed at me when I asked him if what his favorite beer was, like I was supposed to know. So now I go to my corporate job every single day and I will move up the management ladder until…
Indeed, were all of the attendees of Davos to be rounded up and forcibly taxed for everything they’re worth
But there’s two criticisms to be made there.
Because the point is that a comparison of a stock of $90 billion to an annual flow of $80 billion is a bad comparison. The DHHS is vastly more influential, impactful and powerful than either of these foundations.
No, I know why it was chosen, but the point is that the comparison ignores the fact that those foundations would run out of money after just one year if they actually tried to have as far reaching an impact as the DHHS does.
I especially loved the comparison to a single year’s budget of one agency of the federal government that isn’t even the largest agency in terms of overall budget.
This season has felt like a lot of the marquee match-ups have been the “early” games in the U.S., which probably hasn’t helped viewership. Having to wake up between 4:30 a.m. (PT) and 7:30 a.m. (ET) on a Saturday or Sunday morning for big matches like the NLD last weekend or Arsenal-Man United and Man City-Chelsea…
Oh, the irony of that headline, Hamilton.
Isn’t Starbucks one of the best case scenarios for lower wage workers? It was my understanding that they have been offering benefits and stuff for years before anyone gave that to service industry workers.
I give it three problematics out of five.
But what about appointing someone who has been groomed since birth to run a paper violates the fiduciary duty to stockholders?
