Potato soup works great for many ills. Lots of whole milk and butter to sustain you and soft taters you don’t have to really chew. I love it when I’m too wore out to really cook and eat.

Oh you didn’t misspeak, no problem. I know it’s not easy, but it’s also not just jump through a few hoops or whatever. It’s a path to even more manipulation and abuse and brainwashing.

I was never baptized, and not really an official member of the church. My parents are, as were my grandparents, and so is my husband.

You’re living with half the knowledge of the Mormon church. Abuse is tolerated, they spend money on political things specifically to push their agenda, and discourage women from being anything more than trophies for their husband.

Yeah the baptizing dead folks is just...WTF. It grosses me out, especially when it’s forced on someone who has no affiliation with them whatsoever. Let the dead rest in peace, the LDS church doesn’t need more members...

I’ve never seen or heard of such a thing, the ‘easy’ divorce or status keeping. It’s not something that’s given as an option to many women, it seems.

But it’s never encouraged, and like the women in the article said, they’re told they’re ruining their children and dooming them to hell, basically. It’s not simple, and it’s not used or advised. Women are lesser, and they don’t have the options a non Mormon woman has within a church.

RIGHT??? My fucking dog can go run around and play frisbee with Jesus and Hitler and the cats can lick their ass while sitting on the Throne, but Heaven forbid (hah!) I want to not pop out a trillion kids and COOK ALL DAY. And *gasp* I expect my husband to treat me as a human being and respect me, not HIT me and TELL

From what I’ve learned from the Catholics I’ve talked to, their churches are way more forgiving. Their church overlooks some of the mess that comes from annulments and divorces, and the children aren’t held accountable. Especially when it comes to abuse. If it saves the kids and possibly gives you the option to make

The bishop helping her? Fairly rare in the Mormon church. The majority I’ve come across in my 30 years of dealing with them value men over women, and following doctrine over what is actually needed over anything else.

Even the Catholics understand divorcing because your husband beats you. It’s not held against you like it is with Mormonism.

There the only ones I know of that say a woman must be married to a man in order to get to the Good Heaven.

Any idiot with any idea of Mormonism knows how harmful and disgusting this religion is. I point blank asked a bishop about Heaven once, and if my animals will be there. This lead to a discussion about souls and such, of course. The good news is, the majority of them believe that animals, all animals, will be in the

So basically don’t be a snob, learn to appreciate the little things, and splurge only when absolutely moved, like when I found these GORGEOUS quartz stones and paid a bit too much for them because I love rocks? Or when I got the fancy cheese at the store for me and the fancy meat for the husband? We get those about

No. Don’t tell people to not fucking eat fucking LAUNDRY DETERGENT. Folks with mental issues and little folks who think everything is candy, they’re the only ones with an excuse.

If it’s busy or there are people other than my server cleaning tables and seating people near me, I give the tip directly to the server. Same with if I have to pay with a card. I always leave a cash tip. I want to make sure my server gets it cuz people are shit.

I thought clean eating meant you at least wiped the bird shit off your tomato before eating it? And picking the last few scales off the fish you caught and gutted for dinner...

Or...decorate a tree that’s already outside of your home? (If you’re able.) Our decades old fake tree finally gave out. My husband got a new one cuz he loves that shit. A different fake one he found (already half broke) got staked into the yard because why not? (We like dumpster diving and find all kinds of awesome

I barely cook for me, much less the dogs and cats. About once or twice a month I do cook a big batch of chicken and/or beef just for them. Mainly because I ran out of kibble and it’ll be a couple of days before I get paid...

So...men are the weaker sex? This bothers them so they had to shame and put women in last place to prove their toughness?
