I think it is at least worth mentioning that the ‘hawks were always good, but not nearly as good as their record. The got by on a LOT of 1 goal games (or 2 goal games with an empty netter). When you take out the ENG’s for and against (18 vs 6) they were only +23 goal differential, but were 50-23-9! They scored more

Because it was fucking cold and rainy... oh wait, Philly probably won’t be any better

It’s worth remembering that, going back to 2008, the president’s trophy winner has come out of the worst division, or at least a weak division. To do this with 3 other strong teams in your division (and by this many points) is rare.

Yeah, just remember: that means they’re probably just battling to get crushed by Kansas

Skip 1984 and just read “Politics and the English Language”. Much more to the point and 100% less thoughts of rats chewing through your eyeballs. Downside: also 100% less countryside sex.

Please tell me someone had those people committed. At no point could a person who did this be considered sane.

The NFL is only going to pony up if the TV economics pay for it. The stadiums never pay for themselves, so the only incentive the NFL has to subsidize an owner’s new play thing is if the gains from having a team in that TV market are high enough. Maybe they are willing to pay a little for good PR, but not much.

Not knowing the first thing about the LA football market I got a little suspicious when every picture of LA fans celebrating team moving back featured a shot of the same dude in the helmet with rams horns.

When did the Lexus Predator grow such a goofy nose? Pinocchio Predator?

Because when I see the new Muranao I think “It needs even more sharp angles and blacked out panels to fake open space”

Oh, definitely not for this car. I was off topic and responding to the characterization of Jalops as unfit. Those of us that (try to) stay fit tend to do so in ways that give us a slightly higher appreciation for pedestrian safety features in the cars of others.

If I’m going to make a bad decision on a time-bomb Audi, I’m spending another 10K and getting an RS4 from this era.

Those of us that drive stick and also run/bike outdoors will cut you if you take our third pedal, but are appreciative that fewer cars will be running us over in our robot controlled future.

The X1 is much higher level of practicality, although I would argue the 1 series is a lot more fun. Bonus points (and quite a few more $$$) if you get the M

I, for one, am shocked that a Scotsman would consume alcohol

It’s worth tossing out there: the 1 is strangely practical when compared to other 2+2's. I mean if you want it to baby you should probably get something with 4 doors, but the trunk is extremely usable and the back seats can fit grown people in it (as long as they aren’t > 6' tall). I would travel in the back of a 1

Yeah, and keep to the weights, stretching, and kettle bells. There aren’t enough treadmills and I’m not into running enough to give myself frostbite. Runners: can we pleas change it to “New Spring’s Resolutions” rather than “New Year’s Resolution”?

From that tweet it isn’t clear that he even knew which garage it was in. That might make it a tiny bit more reasonable.

If you can demonstrate to your boss that you understand why you failed and can demonstrate that because of that understanding that you are now not only better than you were before, but also much better than all of your coworkers and competitors...

The Heat just copied the Celts who expanded on the what the Lakers did who were really just a downscale version of the Bulls. I’m not sure how old you are, but I’m feeling like a cranky old man right now. It’s not new, and despite how mad it makes me it is rather entertaining to watch for the last month of the
