And he was truly despicable in Once Were Warriors as “Uncle” Bully. Great movie but nearly impossible to sit through twice.

And you never will.
There was a ton of support for Angela Bassett as Storm over Halle Berry. Folks were heated when she didn’t get the part.
For me it’s Pattern Recognition. Something about the novel and setting really hooked me and I reread it every other year or so.
Hate to be that guy but Thundarr was a Ruby-Spears production. And it was awesome.
This movie gets a pass for the Viking Biker funeral alone.
Viggo Mortensen was awesome as Lucifer in The Prophecy. Helpful because it suited him but terrifying.
It’s the Reese voice and that whole period after The Passion of the Christ where he was acting a bit...Jesusy. It’s her issue.
Ross was the U.S. government liaison during Priest’s Black Panther run. He was the viewpoint character/comic relief during the early story arcs.
It would be worth it for the plesiosaur hunt alone.
That could work. Don’t forget that in the Honorverse they all undergo the life prolonging treatments and appear much younger than their real age.
Ouch.
I have the same problem. I love the show and rave about it but some folks can’t get over the fact that it’s on CBS. My wife won’t watch because Jim Caviezel gives her the creeps.
Cap definitely has superhuman strength but Thor was fighting a more advanced Ultron and was buying time for the Vision to get back into the fight.
I really enjoyed the Archer and Armstrong relaunch. Hopefully they don't take entire Valiant Universe into grimdark land.
Karl Edward Wagner's Kane series was great. I picked one up thinking it would be like his Conan stuff and got a big surprise. It was so much darker and richer than the other books in the genre. And the protagonist himself is...well that's half the fun. I loved one of the later stories where we see Kane in modern…
I really need to give him another try. I barely made it through Gardens of the Moon and never read anything else by him.
I love Blood Meridian and McCarthy's work hits a sweet spot for me but I struggled with All The Pretty Horses. I enjoyed The Crossing and Cities On The Plain much more.
Exactly. Ultron killed an entire country and made their corpses into robotic zombies as his opening act. But it led to one of the ultimate moments of Avengers badassery:
When he finally died and won Death's love he got resurrected by a Church thinking the cocoon containing his body was actually Warlock . That didn't end well.
