As a Canadian our taxes for our health care are nowhere near that high. For me total deductions -Fed Taxes IE, CPP, etc.etc-off a pay stub are around 25% with and once a certain threshold for payment is reached one no longer has to pay into those programs. Income tax varies with income level.

As a Canadain AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH, i would die from laughter at what you said but thankfully i have my Universal Health Care so i will not die once i get the bill, oh yeah we do not get bills.
