Nothing in those photos show an accident.  Yes, the cars are crowded in at funny angles to get under the bridge, and yes, this is dangerous for all travelers behind them, but nothing shows an accident.  

Just dig the road down deeper.  Way cheaper than raising the railroad grade, rails and bridge.

a towing capacity of 7,650 pounds with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque is just going to suck. It’s just about the same as the 3.3 V6 in the Ford (290 / 265 FT/LBS with a to rating of 7,700 lbs) and that is such a slug when towing. Proof that just because you can doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

Install a small diesel or gas generator on this thing with some duct tape, zip ties and ratchet straps to provide volts. Lie about the purchase price and get sponsorship decals from a sex toy manufacture (thinking tie in with the electric motor and batteries here) and this thing is perfect for LeMons.

I would rather have the metal stick than the hinge / spring combo that would become so stiff over time that the hood would bend.  See most 70's-80's truck hoods as an example.  

Why not with a manual car?  Can sunroofs only be enjoyed with slushbox automatics?  The Matrix XRS sold a lot of with the sunroof and manual gearbox combo.  Rowing gears with the air flowing in and around the car was fun, and as close to a sporster that some younger families or college students could get.
