I’ll wait for the kid that studied, got high C’s, B’s and 1150 SAT, went to community college first 2 years, got his grades up and transferred to a good college the last 2 years, saving me $15K.

Can we just collectively stop calling these SUVs and just call them cars? Since classically shaped hatchbacks, wagons and sedans are becoming a rarity these days, crossovers have just become the default shape of most cars. Like it or not, ask any kid to draw a “car” these days and it will likely be shaped like a crosso

They finally buckled down, earned a great SAT score, and got into a good collage.

It seems to get categorized as a compact crossover, but, to me, it’s a hatchback.”

A Bloomberg article reported in Yahoo!Finance says that commodity price increases have increased the cost of making a Mach-E such that they now cost $25,000 more to make than a Ford Edge ICE SUV. That’s a big difference, but it’s not the same as an increase 0f $25,000 to build a Mach-E.

Ford’s cost to build the Mach-E increased by $25,000 or increased to $25,000? It has to be the latter.

I’d actually prefer rear drum brakes on some cars simply because you get the best possible parking brake with them. Rear drums are more than adequate for a smaller car and the pads last longer too.

Helpful. Good comment, good contribution to the discussion. Well done.

I hate to keep hope alive, but did you do a compression test or at least replace/disconnect the PCV valve? I can’t imagine the engine pumping that much oil past the rings when it won’t even start. A bad PCV valve might just let the oil under the valve covers slosh on through into the intake system, especially under

Car is a good option if you have multiple people too. And you don’t have to worry about all those old movies where the kids are losing their minds from boredom in the back seat. You just guide them from their room where they are playing a video game on their Switch and have their phone playing a video of someone

This totally ignores the value of your time and wear and tear on a vehicle.

I was really into the Toyota HiAce until I read some of the hashtags on the sellers listing...

I’m digging the Steve touch!!

That BMW swap looks like it’s probably killed someone already and is waiting to do it again.

We had a mid-point Taco Bell stop, does that count as sketchy?

PHEVs are great if you pick one that suits your life.

BTW, just in case anyone thinks I’m some sort of shill for the oil industry, even specifically Exxon Mobil, the supplier for that same gas station in my downtown, here’s a case in which I provided expert witness testimony on financial economic factors in a federal lawsuit against Exxon Mobil:

I fuel up there sometimes. Location is totally old school, packed in tightly in the midst of the downtown business district of a stereotypical New England college town. And yes, the station still has service bays. Sometimes he’ll even be out there pumping gas. Really friendly amiable guy.

Maybe you need it in graph form:

Like they ask of poor people, they should have had some money put away in case of bad times.
