Just the general lack of pride in your work that appears evident.

So is “condescending prick who is too lazy to do an adequate job so I’m going to pretend I’m doing it on purpose” your new schtick?  Cool cool.

Like 80% of these are completely out of focus, hazy filter or not.

Thanks.  Just don’t see the use in beating anyone down when the bulk of the residents know where they stand nationally.

I never claimed it was one of the top 10 nicest states to live in, did I? Just that’s it’s unnecessary and pretty arrogant/elitist to imply “wow what a crazy world, shitty poor uneducated AL is building fancy BMWs!”. (Factual inaccuracy aside)

I maintain that it’s not *as* shitty as most people’s stereotypical view

Always and forever

I inferred tone, given the context and the author’s history.

Indeed, my mistake!  Good thing I’m not an automotive journalist...

Right? Impressively, almost intentionally terrible. I really wish people would take some ownership of their work these days, or exhibit a modicum of pride.

Yes, it very much reads as “wow, poor shitty Alabama builds some fancy shit, whodathunkit?”  Perhaps my bias is reading it that way, having lived in AL and helped build some high-tech stuff, but still, it’s just not necessary, and seems very elitist.

I agree with you, 100%, but it’s neither South Carolina’s nor Alabama’s fault, you know?  Just felt unnecessarily negative and unwarranted.  I don’t see the use in shitting on states and the people that are building MB and BMW cars.

I never said I have a lot of pride in the state, it’s just unnecessary to shit on them when the context has no relevance. AL would be perfectly capable building X7s just as MB builds their SUVs there.

I lived there for a few years, and I think most people would be surprised to learn about many of the positive aspects.

I should also add that he initially shat on Alabama in his article two weeks ago about BMW cancelling the European Delivery program...but going back and looking at it, he appears to have edited out both his geographical error and the dig at AL.

It used to read something like “instead of traveling to Germany, customers

Dude, your edit STILL isn’t right. You tried to fix the Alabama mistake, but didn’t bother to read the whole sentence? As I read it now, it says:

“The humble American state of Alabama is now responsible for manufacturing both the Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach and the all-new 2021 BMW Alpina XB7 is in South Carolina.”

Alabam

“The humble American state of Alabama”

For correctness’ sake, the closest point I could find is ~125 miles apart, but Spartanburg is right at 200 mi from the edge of AL.  The point still stands, the south isn’t all one amorphous blob for you to shit on.

Even better, BMW doesn’t even have a factory in AL, Justin was just desperate to take a shit on it for no reason.  2nd time in 2 weeks he’s claimed Spartanburg was in the wrong state.

Dude, for the 2nd time in less than 2 weeks, BMW is in Spartanburg, SOUTH CAROLINA, which doesn’t even border Alabama. They’re like 200 miles apart, at least, border to border.

Only Mercedes-Benz builds in AL, and Toyota has an engine plant. You were corrected in the last article...listen!

Damn, you really know nothing about cars. By your definition, every 2 door sports coupe is a “subcompact” “C segment”? A Porsche 911 is a subcompact? Mustang GT?  You’re embarrassing yourself, genuinely.

Fuck off, you ignorant creep.

Oh, and since you can’t grasp it, the thesis is:

“European Delivery as a program enhances brand loyalty, gives prospective customers something unique, and increases customer spend long-term.”

Nice try though.
