In what world is an M235i a “sub-compact”?  It isn’t-clearly your knowledge of cars is about as developed as your reading comprehension skills.

Yep, keep on ignoring the thesis of my argument, I’m sure that strategy pays your bills!

I never said “easily”, you did.  It’s not my highest priority, but the whole point is that this program’s existence made purchasing a new Euro Delivery BMW a virtual certainty in the next 10 years.  Now, with the program gone?  It’s definitely less likely, at least.

Fuck’s sake dude, the point is I *can* afford a new BMW (sticker was over $50k on this one...), it’s just not the wisest decision right now. A big portion of why programs like these even exist is exactly the “hopes and dreams” factor, you realize that, right? One more thing for people to aspire to, to drive demand and

Indeed, Captain Obvious. I still think there’s value in maintaining programs like this as a method of maintaining brand loyalty and prestige, giving people like me a reason to keep buying BMWs.

For the record, I have a 2014 M235i, so it’s not like it’s *that* unattainable...I just recently bought a house, got married,

Well fuck, this hurts. I spent a few hours in the Welt in December, grinning ear-to-ear the whole time. I watched the European Delivery process for a while from a balcony, and put it on the bucket list when financial priorities relax and allow me to blow some cash on a new BMW.  Ugh.

They’ve already delayed the new rules until 2022.

How does this compare to say, the taxi industry?  Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but this really doesn’t feel like a huge number considering the 1.3 billion rides they facilitated.  Also, the half that were reported by the drivers is sort of surprising, but not something you can blame Uber for, right?

Because Elon did such a terrible fucking job talking along with his presentation that he literally just said “Oh, we made an ATV too” (they didn’t), wheeled it into the bed, and all we saw was the truck sag.  He didn’t say “I’m gonna lower it for easy loading now”...only at the very end did he mention something about

I’m 6'4" and drive a M235 with no issues. There are quite a few sports coupes that work just fine.

Funny how cocaine will do that to you

Hey dummy, it’s “hear hear”. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised, given the rest of your entitled responses and commentary, that proper grammar isn’t very important to you. You’re only a writer, after all.

You, cause you keep clicking on it.

I thought industry pool testing didn’t allow access to the last section that was required for a complete time? So the 7:23 time couldn’t be a comparable lap to the Taycan?

Did you miss the whole “2 adults and 2 car seats” bit?  A few of yours could work, but many are 2 doors.

No one said anything about *impressing* them, just blending in and not having his Corolla laughed at.  A Land Cruiser *could* impress them, but it doesn’t realistically meet several of his other criteria.  CPO luxury AWD sedan will blend in just fine, and get the job done.

He’s specifically talking about the barely released 9-5.  Saab squeezed it out before they were permanently defunct-they’re rare, and I’m sure that there was no significant store of parts built for them before the company was canned.

Pretty ridiculous assertions IMO.  Having to a do a small block chevy swap in a Rolls is pretty far from most people’s definition of a reliable daily driver.

I wouldn’t call it “barely midsize”.  It’s still a 3-row SUV.

I mean, most luxury cars have an AWD variant, no?  It’s not that hard to find.  BMW xDrive, Inifiniti x models, Lexus AWD, etc. etc.
