Exactly why I wanted to take this trip. Cars aren’t just about performance driving or gimmicky features. They are, to me, a place that is truly mine. I can belt every line of a song. I can sit in silence. And I can find things I could never find on foot.

And frankly, not related to cars, but... I think society as a whole would be better off if we just went to someplace vast and loud and screamed poetry into the void.

I know what it’s like to lose someone to suicide. It’s no comfort that nobody knew what Kev was going through, but in my case I knew and made the mistake of thinking I had time to help them.

The threshold for when someone takes their own life can be extremely tricky. One stimulus could cause some kind of chain reaction that sends the whole thing down the bad path. I’ve seen it happen. Holy cow. I got goosebumps when I read his name and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the picture—I played rugby with Kevin for the University of Dayton club team. When the news broke I couldn’t believe it. As I’m sure you know, there is now a tournament held in his remembrance.

Dude. Military (reserve) officer here. We get training on SA every year. I’ve seen the stats. We do not “throw out” 1/5th for false in the Navy. Where are you getting those stats? Because the Washington Examiner is only slightly less biased than HuffPo. 

Quoting the Examiner on a single biased study isn’t exactly confidence-inspiring. If there are stats that support it, from an independent study, please do post them.
