And in twenty years, when car styling evolves into jarring, swoopy, edgy, flowy bowls of porridge on wheels, I think we’re gonna look at the LFA then like we look at the NSX now.

You’d make damn near everything on your sports car out of carbon fiber if you had a machine out back that could make the stuff whenever you wanted. I bet Akio Toyoda added a deck onto his house made out of carbon fiber just because he could.

I agree about the badge, but not the “subdued” styling. While not a Countach, its far more striking than the Audi, Porsche, etc.

We should all just appreciate a machine like this was built. Period

I actually like the F-type, having seen and heard one a few times in person I have to say that it sounds much better than the youtube videos would lead you to believe. I think it is something about the microphones not capturing it all.

Some barn-builder took a V-12 from an S-class and did things to it. Whatever.

So... you enjoy the sound of FiSTing?

While the F Type sounds like pure sex, the noise coming from the 500 Abarth is so unexpected I have to give it the nod.

The new Mustang GT350. They took a flat plane crankshaft V8 and tuned the exhaust so it still sounds almost like a standard cross plane crank engine. They also made it bigger than anyone has ever made a production flat plane V8, which probably helps the noise as well. I still question the reliability of a flat plane

Literally tuned by Yamaha to be acoustically perfect. 10 bangers don’t hurt.

I’ve never ever heard anyone say a disparaging thing about the F-Type’s exhaust note until now.

The F-Type sounds orgasmic.

Are you so dead-set on disliking the 991 engine update that you’re going to try and argue that the F-Type sounds broken?

My Mini does this (though not as well) and I LOVE IT. I don’t care that it’s artificially induced, or that the performance of the car doesn’t warrant it, etc., etc. blah blah blah.

The Alfa 4C is pretty much the ultimate Miata. It’s is the Miata lover’s dream car. (It is mine, at least)

I own a ‘89 BMW 320i Touring (E30, wagon) with almost 300k km on the odometer. I also own a 245k km ‘88 205 GTi and just sold a Citroën with 325k. None of those insane in any way, but far from low mileage. Some people balk at that, but to me it’s a sign it’s a good car and it’s been driven like it’s supposed to. After
