All I could think about it that scene is how tragic it would be for a child to kill anyone and how generally villainous the scene was. Even killing a racist witch, the shot of someone standing in the light of a full moon with a bionic arm and demon companion doesn’t come across overly heroic.

there’s simply too much happening in this episode.

Christina was way too sympathetic and helpful a character to deserve that throatcrushing, which was administered by a character who was in no way murderous previously.

I just hope there are movie theaters in business a year from now.

Good. I really want to see this one in a proper theatre experience but also don’t want to risk catching the funk and spreading it to others.

Neither does Fizzgig.

Aughra does not approve.

Agreed. Let’s pitch a movie plot using familiar films that have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Hannibal Lecter doing the spaghetti scene is a completely different experience...

Plus the Mandalorian looked so good!

Silence of the Lambs meets Lady and the Tramp.

Same, and the results are just amazing. I really hope it brings us even more spaced based scifi, especially since it makes alien worlds much easier to make.

“I’ll just say that, you know, no set piece, no X-Wing, no Millennium Falcon could compare to the sheer scale of Josh Brolin’s head,”

“I think that in order to bring Dune to the screen, I had to be as close to nature as possible and to make Dune as close to us as possible. So when people will see the movie, they will be amazed by the power of the landscape... [and] most importantly, they will feel strangely at home.”

I just hope that a) they adapt WoT well (what I’ve seen so far seems promising...) and b) they stick with it.  I’d hate for it to be done well, and then have them give up on it 1/3 of the way through.

That’s bizarre and disappointing.

Apparenty the decision was made by Banks’ estate.
