I’ve worked for dealers a long time. Never been told what to do with attempted theft. 100% I’d do nothing about it though.

True story. Their policy is probably throw your body in front of the stolen car to try to slow it down a little. 

I’m sure there are some asshole sales/general managers who would tell the police he was complicit in the theft.

To be (un)fair, it’s a car dealership. HR probably tells the sales people that protecting the bottom line is more important than both the staff’s and the customer’s lives combined.

Sadly buying a $100K look-at-me vehicle and then intentionally damaging by walking on it and throwing stuff at it has become “the most American” thing to do these days. I long for the days when people tried to cover up their stupidity.

Agreed.  Rivian’s look like a futuristic truck, without all the anti semitism of the Cybertruck.

I don’t care how high our govt raises tariffs on foreign cars. I still refuse to buy a tesla! The only american EV I would consider is Rivian, but I’m not about to drop that kind of cash!
