I wonder what the chances of blending the best of the Rage engine with Creation engine would be. Rage still has a cap, if I remember correctly, but it’s wayyy higher than 60fps. Also looks utterly incredible and runs like a dream on just about all hardware.
It’s worth buying, on sale, with Horizons for the VR experience. But you really need a HOTAS and be prepared to spend a few hours fumbling around while learning the controls, (this is actually a good thing).
The worst part, and a huge sign of Frontier’s disconnect with this game is the fact that no one on the development team realized that if you fire your weapon within the no-fire zone around the megaship, you get a bounty. So when you’re inevitably killed trying to defend yourself players were being sent to detention…

Being in the hard vacuum of space isn’t instant death. It’s definitely possible to survive for longer than you’d expect, but there would be some pretty bad damage to the body.
