Yeah, so if the game’s FPS dips below the monitor’s refresh rate the monitor adjusts to match what the game is putting out. It can make some significant framerate dips much less noticeable. Although, I think for a console, it’ll help more for 4k when it goes below 60fps.
I think it’s fascinating that it has FreeSync. Anyone who wants to buy a monitor to use with this will be able to buy a variable refresh rate monitor with FreeSync for about $100 less than the exact same one with G Sync.
I never thought about this...
I’m sorry if you thought that’s what I was implying.
I see both sides of the debate on a higher fee. I definitely lean towards having a higher cost of entry. I think $500 would be completely fair, especially if you have the opportunity to get that back if your game is even barely successful.
Not currently $0...technically. The fee to become a “developer” is $100. Anyone who wants the capability to list a game on Greenlight has to pay the $100 fee. Although, once they pay they can spam Greenlight with as many games as they want.
They are working on the whole trading card shovelware issue. I forgot where I read it, (on here I think), but they’re going to only allow trading cards to be added to games that people are actually playing.
Oh shit! Cadets 2011 was so fucking good! That means... you have a ring, don’t you? That’s incredibly cool!
It was Southmoore HS in Moore OK 2014. A show called ‘Forever Moore’ about he May 20th tornado that devastated the city. I didn’t end up working with them for the season, but they pulled it off really well. It was also cool to see how much the community loved and supported them for that season.
Damn.... this looks fantastic!
Oh, Ashley....
Ooh, this looks really nice. I love the idea of shaping the level to progress. Also like the idea of storytelling without dialog, (I’m guessing there’s no dialog).
HOLY CRAP! That Freezepop song was my favorite on whatever version of Guitar Hero had it!
I could get so many games for $80 while supporting devs that’s don’t employ disgusting psychological tactics to drain every penny out of their playerbase.
I cannot WAIT for his video on this.
I have no idea why this is so compelling, but I’ve watched for like an hour.
Oh man, just HEARING that theme music stirs up so many feelings!
Reminds me a lot of some of Aphex Twin’s less intense stuff.
