I see how this can be confusing for someone who hasn't read the book. The "today" moments are when the cops are investigating the murder. The story about Jane coming to Monterey, everybody starting school, the attack on Amabella, all of the scenes with Madeline and Renata and their husbands and families - basically

They didn't really give you much to see this on TV, but in the book the teacher is quite young and inexperienced, so she doesn't realize that the public trial idea is a bad one until after it's begun. The teacher on TV did try to stop things after a point, but as Zardoz pointed out, Renata insisted on continuing.

…and then said, "Attitude is everything". Either she has a sense of humor as-yet-undetected, or she has completely, totally misunderstood that saying her entire professional life.

I'm not sure how the writer of this article can say they're not sure of the narrative…this is adapted from the novel. READ THE NOVEL! They've obviously changed the setting, but from the looks of the characters and comments about what Shailene Woodley's character is being introduced to, this is a very similar plot.

I think all four of those characters are too obvious. Nate going into the house and coming out unscathed, plus being the one to ask if the coroner had determined cause of death looks too obvious. Connor making all of the statements about Wes being the source of all of their problems looks too obvious. The Bonnie /

I just think that both Nate and Frank are too obvious of choices for Wes' killer, and this show prides itself on being twisty and shocking. The show also left us supposed to suspect Connor, since he was the last to show up at the hospital and ditched Thomas immediately after their hookup, along with his earlier

She honestly doesn't have a strong enough grasp on reality to have thought of doing this to help others. She has very dire financial straights and probably did this partly (mostly?) for the money. I'm not saying she's not fundamentally a good person who might want to help others - just that she's not psychologically

She was my next-property neighbor for almost 15 years (yes - she lived in Blanco, TX), and she really was this crazy. She told us that the bug zapper hanging on a porch about a mile and half from her property was sending waves into her brain. She said there were old pipelines running by the road that the government

And last week, Maeve's memory did the same thing - substituting / remembering the MIB for the native about to come into her home while she was hiding with her little girl.

I believe she did hear a voice directing her to the buried gun. I remember her asking out loud, "Here?" before digging. We the audience hadn't been exposed to Arnold, or the knowledge that other hosts were hearing / talking to voices in their heads yet, so we didn't hear the voice Dolores heard - just her verbal

I think the answer is in the fact that everybody is supposed to use the park-provided guns when being violent. Elsie and Stubbs had the conversation at the campfire about how only very few hosts have the ability to wield an axe, and although we saw Logan stab the host in the restaurant in the hand, I imagine there

A lot of times when someone is still with their child's biological parent, they will just leave their estate to their spouse, assuming that person will continue to ensure the child is taken care of (even if the child is an adult). Then the child will inherit the rest when the spouse dies. The father might have left a

When Shelby and Matt were standing in the doorway after the banker left, talking about having no options to unload the house, Matt said that they could sell it to the hillbillies. Shelby's response was just, "Oh they don't want it". I guess the writers couldn't figure out why they *don't* just sell it to the people

What I don't get is why an evil force would kill them anyway. Wouldn't said evil force think what they're doing is great and let them continue?

No floodlights and those fancy cameras Matt installed seem to have been forgotten completely after one use.

I keep wondering why they all just don't go to Lee's house? If they lost all of their money, long-term hotel stays (even cheap ones) wouldn't be realistic, but put the thing - recently renovated! - on the market and stay away.

I didn't notice/realize that was her, if it was. I was thinking maybe she was the "girl" they kept seeing out the window after I saw her name in the credits, although Lee's daughter's interactions made it seem that the girl was closer to her age.

And there is nothing worse than sloppy head.

Actually, most Dairy Queens don't have chocolate soft serve. But you can get anything at all with chocolate syrup added to it. And all chocolate soft serve is, is a can of syrup mixed with the 5 gallon bag of mix. So it will taste the same.

What bothers me - continuity wise - is that Coleman went and grabbed Yael saying they can leave because the show wrapped. The security guard confirms it. They get in the car in the circular driveway and drive off. Cut to the scene where Darius and Ruby are getting into the limo with everybody around IN THE SAME SPOT
