Toyota, as if the the GT-86 did not give you a hint, start making exciting cars again (i.e. they are exciting to drive AND look at). Not sure if a crazy hybrid Yaris (if that's what the new model is going to be) is particularly exciting.

The GT-R was more of the rally replica but the the GTX has all the important bits but looks like a $500 bucket so it doesn't draw any attention. It's ideal.

Seeing "Italian cars, manual transmissions and long drives" took me back many many years when Italian cars were known (aside from propensity to rust) for their odd driving position which meant you could never find the driving position that suited you.
As a current Mazda3 owner, I hope Mazda adds lighted window switches on this new model. It is one of the things that seems so ridiculously unimportant and minor but its absence is so annoying in everyday life.
