I played Horizon first, and then BOTW on Switch I turned it off cause I didn’t really “get it” and it usually just interfered and made my stick aim wobbly. Then I watched my girlfriend play through the Wii-U versions of Windwaker, Twilight Princess and BOTW and I started to see the appeal of it. It’s WAY easier to

They allow for really good fine-tuning, but they don’t allow for anywhere close to the speed you can get with M/K when it comes to rapidly turning around, etc.

After playing through “It Takes Two” and constantly having godawful cutscenes and terrible constant dialogue shoved down my throat for extended periods in between short segments of fantastic gameplay, I welcome the Fromsoft approach of being almost pure gameplay with the story being something that you don’t have to

Ah. I just skimmed through the trailer cause I didn’t care much, assumed it was just Elvis. If it’s Tom Hanks the whole time, that isn’t defensible. Surely just some producer saying “you HAVE to put Tom Hanks in this movie, any way you can, so we can get an Oscar!!”

I’m with you on most of this, but seriously, what do you suggest they do for someone that is playing a character that wildly changes shape over the course of their life? CGI? Two different actors? The actor themselves should intentionally have a dangerous rapid weight fluctuation that will probably take years off

I suspect he’s going off something like the data on Xbox One’s time-spent data that they released in 2017, where they found that (iirc) 1.5% of time spent by users involved backwards compatibility with 360. I guess the implication there to some readers is that there’s no way even 1.5% of time is being spent by gamers

The problem with Wii-U homebrew is by far the easiest way to get playable games onto your Wii-U involves hijacking the store download links with a PC program, so I’m guessing that won’t work anymore with the store being taken down. Though maybe it will if they’re still downloadable to owners? Not sure.

Interesting. I did upgrade a few games like Control, Ghost of Tsushima and AC: Valhalla from PS4 to 5 but didn’t remember the process since it was a while ago. I just remembered that FFVII Remake was done by some confusing sequence of clicks through the playstation store, but didn’t require the game be currently

This is sort of hinted at in the article by “buy it on your PS4,” but, just as a warning, if you buy the digital PS4 version through their app or on your PS5 you seem to have no upgrade path to PS5 other than paying another 70 dollars for it. I had to cancel my order and then just ordered a PS4 disc since I know that

It was, partly because they rolled it out like they did with Facebook - it was initially invite-only and having one was like a symbol of internet status for a while. Everyone’s mind was blown by how huge the storage was in comparison to the other email services at the time.

I think he meant that they break almost immediately whenever you actually use one.

I think the game is better as a game than the previous Uncharteds, but I think those all worked better as stories and I was more into their characters. I like Chloe, especially in Uncharted 3, but I just couldn’t help but feel like the story for this one was half-baked. I didn’t like Uncharted 4's story much, but it

What are you talking about? This game is far easier than most games that get labelled “SOULS-LIKE.” Especially if you put the difficulty at one of the two lower settings. Are you referring to the enemies respawning when you rest? Or something else?

I dunno, the switch version still would automatically open up my wifi settings every time I tried to launch it while not connected to wifi. It didn’t bug me if it was in airplane mode, I guess.

I wonder if Starfield’s release date was specifically chosen to be 11 years after Skyrim’s 11.11.11 launch?? I’m guessing so.

They’re VERY different in their approaches so I hesitate to compare, but God of War’s terrible collection of boss fights makes me inclined to give the nod to Bloodborne if I had to choose. Everything else about the game is great other than the fact there are like 12 bosses (besides the optional ones like Valkyries)

Goldeneye? Rare hasn’t produced a really good game since 2000. Well, unless you count the Xbox 360 remaster of Perfect Dark, I played the hell out of that.

I said “good,” COD most definitely has not been good in a long time and I wouldn’t care at all if it went xbox exclusive, it would not make me want to buy the system.

What are you going to miss out on, really? The only Activision game that was any good in the last several years was Sekiro, and all they did was publish it. I guess people liked the Tony Hawk remake?

I never played any of the early ones and was only aware of their edgelordy characteristics like the infamous aphrodite sex minigame. I think I’d seen about 5 minutes of gameplay of the original once. I think the only thing in this game at all that is really dependent on prior knowledge is covered just by knowing that
