Yep, isn’t this a magical fucking world where all of a sudden despite every single court in the US using it as evidence, that direct witness testimony from the victim is now not evidence?

It’s convenient that victim testimony magically stops counting as evidence whenever rape or sexual assault is involved. If a victim identifies the person who mugged them, that’s evidence. But if a victim identifies the person who sexually assaulted them, it’s a grossly unfair character smear that means nothing.

What kind of “hard evidence” does she want? DNA only proves sex happened, and if you’re the rapist, you just say it was consensual. If there is trauma to the body you say it was intense sex. It’s like they want someone in the room with a video tape - and even then they’d say there’s no way to know she wasn’t role…

If he had any integrity, he would have removed himself from the running weeks ago because this whole process is tainting the Supreme Court. Yet again. But like his president, he has no integrity. 

I really enjoy how quickly Trump supporters confirm our assumptions about their idiocy and ignorance. 

He pretty much showed that he’s a hard core political hack with no judicial temperament. He basically claimed that these accusations have been concocted by Democrats but didn’t offer a scintilla of proof. A judge should know the importance of evidence, but he doesn’t offer any and doesn’t want an investigation.

The sad thing’s this: The Marquis was a masochist.

Someone kept asking if temperament is a requirement for the job. He couldn't say yes because he knew he looked bad with his behavior, and knew it extended to Trump. He just used on-the-job excuses as if we don't realize there is a big difference between that and personal life.

I’ve posted this before but for every person who blathers on about “innocent until proven guilty”...this is not a criminal trial. This is an job interview for the highest court in the land.

What a fucking farce. They held the hearing just to say they did and are now pushing him through. Based solely on his behavior (spouting conspiracy theories, yelling, emotionally erratic, petulant, entitled...) during the hearing, he does not have the temperament for the job.
