Oh, he's one of the most interesting writers working. The man takes philosophy, sociology, and technology, blends it all into something that reveals new facets of the characters AND the technology they use. It's always interesting and informative, or at least feels that way.

I think I do like your interpretation more. To the best of my knowledge, Stephenson's politics fall near the Classically Liberal (which is to say, the guy who feels obliged to clarify the TRUE meaning of both Liberal and Conservative, in 19th century terms), and his fascination/adoration with industrial-era

Since I'm not first, I feel comfortable asking this.

John Cusack. Between this and Dragon Blade, is his thing now to be a token white guy?

I'd agree. Parsons suffers (to the tune of millions of dollars, the poor bastard) from being the breakout character who is plowed into the ground. It's a shame, because his pall overshadows a lot of exceptional work put in by the cast and crew.

I'd definitely agree that Cheers makes BBT look like a steaming wad of impacted wolverine colon, but Cheers does that to most shows. And yeah, Cheers goes to smarter places, narratively and emotionally, than BBT, but a lot of that is because BBT is about a group of people who are actually pretty dumb when it comes to

I know a few Rino's who hunt for sport, but it's mostly a signaling thing so people won't catch on.

Edit: posted and then decided it wasn't a very good post. Never mind.

Holy fucking christ that picture is baby faces.

I'd refuse to shut up about Lennon, because I'm not very good at being near famous people.

Why would I waste all my garden-fresh fruit, don't you know that a man's gotta eat?

Listen, if it doesn't put you on some kind of watchlist, it isn't a real accomplishment.

Your parents will be so proud.

I like this pope a lot (relative to the company he keeps, of course) but I'm pretty sure he still thinks homosex is a sin.

I'm taking my girlfriend to see HT2, but only because it's Genndy.
