Didn't watch the video, and this isn't a passionate argument for me, but:  I think TBBT is comparable to minstrelsy, obviously on a more trivial, less soul-crushingly sad scale.

I can't bring myself to try convincing anyone about it.  I kind of feel like it's better off as a secret you have to discover on your own terms.  The most I've been able to tell people is that the cathartic joy of finishing season 3 is worth the one-note drudgery of season 1.

MO is one of my personal favorite shows.  The Nuge is right that the show was muddled a lot of the time, but I disagree about the idea that it couldn't carry the weight it developed in season 3.
