The book is pretty easily at least half-satire of cyberpunk convention.  When you laugh at stuff like "Hiro Protagonist" or pizza-delivery showdown, or the excessive dramatic flare thrown into every meaningless detail, rest assured that you're laughing with the author.  When you drool reading about awesome future tech…
