I know Jerry West won Finals MVP the first time it was handed out in 1969 despite the Lakers losing in 7 games to the Celtics (he averaged like 38 a game). Pretty sure that's the only time it's happened in the NBA
So even if the Cavs end up losing the series, LeBron has a legit argument to still be named Finals MVP right? I know usually it’s awarded to a player from the winning team, but looking at the numbers he's put up so far, and the supporting cast he's had to work with, I feel like he's got a good argument.
