Sounds like Texas is full of commies.

In the Boston area, my experience with AAA offices for RMV work has been terrible. As in, went to an AAA office for basic license or registration work but the line (or lack there of) was such an unmoving mess that we left without getting helped after an hour or two.
This article just reminded me that I have Toyota’s road side assistance. I should see what that covers and cancel AAA if it is comparable. I doubt we’ll need either driving a newish 4Runner anyway.
That’s wild. My experience in Boston and nearby areas is that they’re so slow and terrible that I’ve always just managed needing to swap a tire, get it patched, and dead batteries myself. Waiting (many hours) for (shitty) AAA service is just not worth it here.
Didn’t even know about windshields. They’re zero dollar deductible in my state. So AAA wouldn’t come into play for that here.
I think the last time we needed AAA it took them 5 hours to get someone to show up.
That Chrysler ME 4-12 story sounds more like something an old timer engineer at Chrysler made up than anything realistic. Just like how they’ll talk about the time engineers were put on the production line during a strike and the cars the engineers made were way better than the striking workers could turn out.
Floor change after the summer break could change things significantly, but otherwise agree with you.
Ferrari is not a serious team despite having serious potential. The drivers either need to resign themselves to doing what they’re told or work to set their own strategies as independent of the team as possible. Team “strategy” is trash. They can’t decide is Charles is the #1 driver or not. They can’t decide if they…
Altimas seem to exist as a different sort of item. Like, they’re all seemingly stolen, underwater on their loans, or in some quasi state where it isn’t clear who or what entity owns them. They scare me because if one hits you it feels like you’ll never be able to get an insurance payout or even be sure who is really…
I cycle in a city all the time. Even with a green light, I’d check at an intersection like that. Unless you can see stopped cars, you don’t know that someone isn’t going to go flying through a red light.
Weight is still nuttso.
Except on the trails. Spent two weeks driving around out west (South Dakota, Montana, Utah, and Colorado) and didn’t see a single Bronco beyond a trailhead campsite. We were disappointed. Same with Defenders.
“Credit” is a scam. It is a scam that’s hard to avoid, but it is still a scam.
Them and many others. The Mustang EV still has a wait list that’s a year long doesn’t it? I don’t think Ford can make them fast enough.
What is more likely is that states will individually stop “giving a shit” about out of state AND federal legislation and judicial decisions. Some states are already very close to just saying “fuck you, make me,” when it comes to some of this stuff. Plenty of individuals are already lining up to facilitate violating…
The court’s decision is already in violation as it stands because as you quoted:
I just drove 6600 miles in two weeks.
DC and NYC are much bigger cities with much better funded subways. Boston gets compared to them sure, but Boston is just lucky to have the public transit it has given how much people in this country hate public transit.
I’m excited to eventually hear about one sinking into the road on a really hot day. I’m not excited to hear about one causing an old covered bridge to collapse in VT because the driver “didn’t realize” that you can’t drive a 9000lb vehicle across some old bridges.
